The Semiconductor Industry Association (SlA) announced today that as of April 2024, global semiconductor industry sales amounted to $46.4 billion, an increase of 15.8% compared to $40.1 billion in April 2023 and an increase of 1.1% compared to $45.9 billion in March 2024. The monthly sales revenue is compiled by the Wond Semiconductor Trade Statistics (wsTS) organization and represents the three-month moving average. In addition, the latest Ws Tsininindustry forecast predicts that global annual sales will increase by 160% in 2024 and 12.5% in 2025. SlA's revenue accounts for 99% of the US semiconductor industry and nearly two-thirds of non US chip companies.

John Neufer, President and CEO of SlA, said, "The global semiconductor industry achieved double-digit year-on-year sales growth every month in 2024, and global sales in April showed a month on month increase for the first time this year, indicating that the market momentum is strong as the middle of the year approaches

From a regional perspective, last year's sales increased in April in the Americas (32.4%), China (23.49%), and Asia Pacific/Other regions (11.1%), but sales decreased in Europe (7.0%) and Japan (7.8%). In April, sales increased in the Americas (4.2%, Asia (2.4%, China (0.2%)), but decreased in the Asia Pacific region/other regions (0.5%) and Europe (-0.8%).

In addition, SIA approved WSTS' global semiconductor sales forecast for spring 2024 today, which predicts that annual sales in 2020 will reach $611.2 billion, the largest total sales in the industry's history. In 2025, Alobar's sales are expected to reach $687.4 billion, and WSTS predicts its six-month industry forecast by collecting opinions from a large number of global semiconductor companies, which provide accurate and timely semiconductor trend indicators.
